[This is going to be very awkward but Nico feels... it's just something she should know, because she's Jason's girlfriend and he feels guilty about it.]

Hey, Piper.

[He is so so glad for being able to just think-text someone. It makes it a little more easier.]

[Piper jumps when the text enters her head. First time thought-texting for her, oops. It takes her a moment to respond, mostly because she's both getting herself comfortable and concentrating on the whole process.]

Nico? What's up?

Have you had time to speak with Jason about things yet?

Oh yeah. Like, we didn't get into the nitty gritty, but...he basically confirmed what I already knew. Along with everyone else I've spoken with. It's...an idea I'm not yet used to, but I know that I have to if our relationship is going to survive.

Did he mention anything about us? I mean, me.

No. I take it you were one of his partners? I didn't ask him to tell me their names or anything.

[Partners, she says. He runs his hands over his face, wishing something would come and swallow him up.]

Nico, I'm not going to be angry at you for trusting Jason enough for something like that! But I do appreciate you telling me. Honestly, I probably would've done the same thing if our roles were reversed.

Hey, if you want to do that again, just tell me first? This whole thing is pretty much gonna be dependent on communication. If you two just talk to me, then we can make it work out. I've been thinking about all of this since I got here, and, well, if you don't try to steal his heart, then I don't see a problem with it.

[She's got the most important part of Jason anyway. As long as she keeps telling herself that the intimate stuff isn't as important as having Jason's heart, especially in a city like Ariel, she thinks they'll be okay.]

[Nico... stares at that reply for a long long moment. Piper just got here and she's telling him it's okay to have sex with her boyfriend?]

[He's slightly flabbergasted and it takes him a second to collect his thoughts enough to think something coherent.]

I mean - no, I'm not going to try to steal him, that's ridiculous. He's only a friend, I swear.

[Even if he was in love with Jason, he still wouldn't do something like that. But no, what he feels towards Jason is definitely not like what he feels towards Percy. Is he attracted to him? It's Jason Grace, anyone would be an idiot not to be attracted to him. But in love with him? The idea makes him want to laugh. Don't worry, Piper, you're safe from Nico attempting anything.]

... He's just the only person here I trust completely not to hurt me when it comes to... that. That's why I asked him. But it was only once and I can get by without asking him again, if you're not okay with it or he's not okay with it now.

[She can't help smiling. Maybe Ariel is doing Nico a favor after all. She's never had a conversation with him this long before, and she's learning probably a little more about him than he thinks. Nico's also giving her more to think about than the whole intimacy thing.]

I can't blame you for that. Anyway, I'm okay with it, and if you want to know if Jason is or not, then go ask him. I'll even tell Jason my standpoint on it.

[It's a lot easier texting someone than speaking to them face to face.]

[Nico is so nervous that he actually slips up and uses voice instead of think texting like he usually does.]

[... What does he even say, oh gods, he doesn't know what to do, but Piper's the only one around who he thinks might be able to help on such short notice because Masaki's away on her excursion and he can't go to her for help.]

[You can practically hear the nervousness rolling off his words.]

[Piper's starting to get used to this, but she still jumps when there's a voice that sounds like Nico in her head. The nervousness is immediately apparent.]

[Concerned? A little, but since Nico's not freaking out, she's not going to freak out, either.]

I need... help. With something. Uh... I'd... I'd ask Masaki but she's away for a few days.

[Well. Piper seriously doubts that this is girl trouble, but she'll keep her mind open. She won't rule out some girl forming a crush on Nico and him not knowing how to let her down. Or if she's persistent, how to get her to stop.]

Mostly casual clothes work. Since you're going to a club, I'd wear a short sleeve shirt and no jacket. It's going to get hot in there since there's typically a lotta people and dancing going on.

[Okay, she's only been in one once and not again. It's not a good feeling to get kicked out by bouncers and have her dad called to pick her up.]

For what's comfortable for you, I'd guess skinny jeans, black shirt, no jacket. The skull ring would still work, if you've got that. I can help you look for other accessories to give it more personality.

[Oh. Right. Dancing. Dancing happens at clubs. Does that mean Edmund is going to want to dance with him?! He doesn't really know how to do much besides the basic of ballroom dances. Why did he agree to go to a club?!]

Yep. It's super casual 'cause it's a good way to hang out. Honestly, you could get away with wearing very little in some of them, but most people are over eighteen when they go.
